Die Autorin erweitert die prägnante Frage der Ars Electronica 2001 "Who's doing the art of tomorrow?" um diejenige nach den organisatorischen Prinzipien, beeinflussenden Faktoren und Operationen von Kunst: 'How will it be done?' wie auch 'What is doing the art of tomorrow?'.

The artworks of interest "are not any longer paintings, sculptures, installations - terms that belong to the categories of mastership and to the world of products" (Bourriaud). They don't belong to the organisation-principle of the White Cube, this means they don't work on an operating system (Wulffen) that generates limited, defined, restricted, mobile and tradeable works of art.
Artistic fields of actions are less representative visualizations than operative interventions into the protocols of social processes: "Interfaces, spaces, dispositivs, that interlace with strategies of existence" (Bourriaud), aesthetic spaces of resonance, methods of visualizations and moduls of operational catalysts... They often appear on a higher degree of complexity as inter- and multimedial hybrids, their acitivities unfold as complexe architectures of action in economic, political, juridical and sciencific coalitions. These examples of artistic practice less work as a punctual exploration of a status quo than as exploration of a dynamic, that paradigmatically points out the so-called 'Erschließungsdiskurs' of art (Krieger). Baecker: We have to redefine our matrix and for this purpose to explore it again.
Via three artisitic fields of actions the dissertation identifies the quality of art in terms of analysing, trans-/formating and anticipating. Subjects are the modified physiognomies of art-production in the era of Media- and Cyberpoiesis, the current conditions for art practices (e.g. the multimedial networking), and the operative art-concept. The author expands the concise question of Ars Electronica 2001 "Who's doing the art of tomorrow?" with the one about organizational principles, impact factors and operations of art to: 'How will it be done?' as well as 'What is doing the art of tomorrow?'.
